CREATE are looking for a gifted individual who has an interest in enriching the lives of young people in Paisley through partnering in our vision and values and offering their skills and experience to help the board lead the organisation in its growth and development.
Established in 2009, CREATE Paisley (CREATE) is an innovative youth project at the heart of Renfrewshire (Paisley) which seeks to see young people transformed through creativity, community, confidence and finding their voice.
CREATE is founded upon a Christian ethos. The events and activities which CREATE run, are not evangelistic, but are underpinned by four of what we believe are God’s values in the world; creativity, community, confidence and voice.
CREATE has worked with thousands of young people over the last 10 years, providing safe, creative spaces and opportunities for young people through youth drop ins, open mic nights, creative arts workshops, youth forums, youth volunteering and supporting young people to make a difference. CREATE’s activities are supported by a Project Manager and a dedicated team of 30 volunteers.
As a result of a strategic review in 2018-19, CREATE developed a new vision statement, social objectives and 3 year strategic plan (2019-22) with ambitious goals to reach our vision through developing our staffing team, income generation whilst ensuring we maintain our community development approach and that programmes and approaches reflect the current needs.
Over the last year, we have made significant strides in these strategic objectives growing our staff, volunteer and trustee teams, developing new income streams, attracting multi-year funding and supporting new partnerships to grow new and existing work.
