CREATE are looking for a gifted individual who has an interest in enriching the lives of young people in Paisley through partnering in our vision and values and offering their skills and experience to lead our youth work.
Established in 2009, CREATE Paisley (CREATE) is an innovative youth project at the heart of Renfrewshire (Paisley) which seeks to see young people transformed through creativity, community, confidence and finding their voice (more on our vision and values here).
CREATE has worked with thousands of young people over the last 10 years, providing safe, creative spaces and opportunities for young people through youth drop ins, open mic nights, creative arts workshops, youth forums, youth volunteering and supporting young people to make a difference.
As a result of a strategic review in 2018-19, CREATE developed a new vision statement, social objectives and 3 year strategic plan (2019-22) with ambitious goals to reach our vision through growing our team, income generation and redesigning our programmes and approaches through co-design approaches to reflect current needs and aspirations of young people.
Purpose of role
CREATE Paisley is looking to appoint a Youth Development Worker to lead on and develop the charity’s approach to and delivery of youth work activities.
The Youth Development Worker will:
- Facilitate current and new youth work provision
- Lead the organisation’s approach in responding to young people’s voices
- Manage youth work projects and budgets
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation within all youth work activities
- Recruit, train, support and manage team members (staff, students & volunteers)
